Jessica Sommer is a Senior Associate in the Accounting & Finance practice at Relate Search. With a background in public accounting and executive recruitment, she brings technical expertise and a thoughtful listening ear to every client and candidate partnership. Jessica specializes in placing accounting and finance professionals across industries, focusing on talent with technical excellence that strengthen teams.

 

Prior to joining Relate Search, Jessica worked at boutique firms specializing in accounting, finance, and executive search. She has partnered with private equity groups, publicly traded companies, and growth-focused businesses to fill critical leadership and management roles.

 

Jessica began her career as an Auditor with CLA, a top 10 public accounting firm, after earning her degree in Accounting from Montana State University. While initially pursuing her CPA, she realized her passion was in recruitment; blending relationshipbuilding, strategy, and performance in a more dynamic environment.

 

Known for her consultative and detail-oriented approach, Jessica partners closely with clients to understand technical needs and long-term goals. She recruits for roles ranging from experienced accounting professionals through CFO leadership, prioritizing lasting matches over transactional placements.

 

Jessica serves as Vice Chair of the Young Alumni Board for Montana State University’s College of Business and Entrepreneurship, supporting mentorship and career development initiatives. Jessica grew up in Montana and calls Bozeman home with her husband and lab-rottweiler mix, Hildegard. Outside of work she loves getting outside; hiking, snowmobiling, paddle boarding, and cheering on the Montana State Bobcats!
